Year Round Lacrosse

Winter Season

In the spirit of year round lacrosse we offer 1-1.5 hour sessions of lacrosse at the Dome for our different age groups once a week in the winter.

For the 2020 winter session we will be offering two different sessions:

3rd-8th graders from 6:30-7:30 pm on Sunday nights (1/12, 1/26, 2/9, 2/23 and 3/1) at the Dome. This is for players who participated in the Fall 2019 Travel Season OR the Spring 2019 Shooting Stars Session.

9th-12th graders from 7:30-9:00 pm on Sunday nights (1/12, 1/26, 2/9, 2/23 and 3/1) at the Dome. Open to those players who are NOW 9th graders (who played Modified last year) as well as all those who played JV and V lacrosse last spring. ***Please note that this winter program has nothing to do with the Q-bury spring season nor will it be an evaluative type of program with regards to making the V or JV HS Lacrosse teams this spring. Our organization is offering this opportunity to ALL HS lacrosse players who are interested in getting a stick in their hand this winter.

Spring Season

All players must bring a stick, goggles, and mouth-guard.  Commitment to the program is required, including travel to several local tournaments and at least two regional tournaments 2- 3 hours away. Please check the website to view the travel schedule. Fee includes tournament fees, uniform, US Lacrosse membership, insurance, and a subscription to US Lacrosse Magazine.

Fall Season

In the falls of 2015, 2016 and 2018 the Adirondack 40Stixters have hosted the Field of Screams Tournament as a fund raiser for our program and a chance for our girls to be the home team. Unfortunately due to schedule conflicts and a need to accommodate our growing numbers we will NOT be hosting a tournament this year. We hope you understand our position and we look forward to hosting it in the future.

While our spring sessions are open to any player, no matter their prior experience, the fall travel season is only open to those who participated in the spring Shooting Stars program and a few from the Intro to Lacrosse and Rising Stars programs who were selected by a coach approval process. This is an advanced program that requires a certain skill level and prior travel/tournament experience. Due to these factors, players will be invited via email to participate in our fall program.

This program includes four practices on Sundays from 1 pm - 2:30 pm starting Sept. 8th, one travel tournament for our 3/4 team and two travel tournaments for our 5/6 and 7/8 teams, as well as on local day of play versus another Capital Region youth lacrosse program (weather permitting) on Oct. 20th.

Qualifying players will receive an email with an invitation to register.
